Blyth is a vibrant Northumberland resort town with a huge beach, stretching from the breakwater to the north all the way through to the far southern end of the bay, down by Seaton Sluice. Blyth beach is a course, ruddy-gold sand with shifting surfing peaks providing beach breaks down its length. Despite it being right on the doorstep of the town there is enough space to ensure it doesn't get that crowded.

The best peaks are up by the headland at the top of the bay and consequently the crowds drop away as you head down the beach. The whole bay is slightly south facing so the waves will hold their quality when other beaches are blown out by bigger swells from the north and it is suitable for all levels of surfing ability.

Out of the water Blyth is a fantastic resort town with a vibrant nightlife so if you are looking for that has potential for good fun in and out of the water, Blyth is a good bet!
