Caswell Bay is a pristine beach nestling below some very high cliffs, which opens up at low tide creating a huge swathe of golden sand. It is a great location for all surfers, especially beginners and novices as it is sheltered and has mellow, easy going but peaky waves. Being a southwest facing beach it catches most swell going, but comes into its element at mid to high tide when the headlands channel the swell up.
As it is often overlooked in favour of nearby Langland Bay it doesn't become too crowded and you will be sure of being able to find yourself some space out in the water. It has good facilities to support it and is a great beach to spend a day or three surfing.
