Perranuthnoe is an idyllically secluded and consequently really quiet beach, which always ensures a relaxed atmosphere amongst the surfers in the water. It has a right-hand wave, which breaks off the rocks at the north end of the beach and various shifting peaks across the remainder of the beach. The surf works best at low to mid tide, as at high tide the swell hits the more sharply shelving section of the beach and the beach almost disappears.
The water quality is incredible and the surroundings perfect for just sitting in the water, chilling with your mates and catching loads of fun easy going waves. This is the perfect beginners spot but a surfer of any ability would be challenged to not have a great session here.
Just back from the beach is the village of Perranuthanoe, which has a good pub for the after surfing drinks, the Victoria Inn. You can't miss it -its large and pink!
