Trayarnon Bay is a fantastic beach and well worth the effort of finding; it can be tricky to locate. This is an added strength because it means the beach is one of the quietest on this stretch of coast and a proverbial million miles from the urban beaches of Newquay just 10 minutes to the south. This little bay has a kilometre of golden sand that produces various good quality surfing peaks at all stages of the tide. The low headlands on both sides of the narrow bay channel the swell up in the middle to create good strength waves out of only average swells. It is a safe beach with no rips even on the heavy days, which is enhanced by the presence of lifeguards during the peak summer months.
It's a great, tranquil and secluded location with fantastic scenery to either view whilst in the water or explore during the quiet spells.
