Inverbervie is a large village tucked just behind the small Bervie Bay with its steep sloping pebble beach. It is reasonably remote but is easily accessed via the B967, which runs straight down from the A90, just inland. The best break in the bay is a point break at the far left end of the beach, which can produce some strong left-handers in a clean and large southerly swell.
It is a great little village and is the perfect destination for escaping from the madding crowd and enjoying some peace and quiet. The breaks here are often overlooked for some of the more well-known and popular (sandy) beaches up the coast and it is well worth stopping to check out before you pass by or you might miss a gem.
