Kingsbarns is a great, secluded, half moon beach. The beach is a crescent of reddish, golden sand scattered with small patches of rock and rock pools, which should keep the kids entertained if you have them. It is a very shallow sloping beach and is set in front of a low bank of sand dunes, which lead back into the golf course that runs behind the beach. Despite its small size Kingsbarns has both beach and reef breaks, which produce high quality left and right-handers. This is a location that is well worth checking out when there is a big swell coming in.

The beach has good facilities if you are there for more than a couple of hours; ample free car parking, toilets and even a shelter if the North Sea weather turns. All of these are well maintained and it has a great secluded, private beach sort of atmosphere. It is accessed easily via a short road down from the Main A917, which runs straight through Kingsbarns and is an excellent secluded, small beach.
