Click here for map | Machrihanish is at the southern end of a huge strip of sand that runs north for several miles up to Westport. On its day Machrihanish can produce some outstanding waves and given the size and its location it is entirely feasible you could have the beach to yourself. There are several peaks - shifting beach breaks along the length of the beach, a couple of river mouths and even a point to round it off. A really good surfing spot.
More details coming soon.
