Newquay - Little Fistral Beach

Newquay's Little Fistral beach is the younger sibling to the most famous surfing beach in Cornwall and England. It earns its reputation from its location in the centre of the biggest holiday resort town in the South West and undoubtedly because of the world-class barrels that it produces during large swells. The beach itself is a small strip of sand in a cove sheltered below low rock cliffs to the right of the main Fistral beach, which can produce excellent walling waves at low tide breaking in front of the rock headlands.

In the right conditions Little Fistral can produce high quality barrels to match its larger neighbour, suitable for intermediate surfers and above and at low tide it effectively becomes part of the main Fistral beach. Its sand banks produce waves of a quality that would challenge and entertain travelling professional surfers, so unless you are Laird Hmilton and are requiring 100ft tow in surfing, Little Fistral should be more than enough for you!

Newquay produces quality surfing waves at the lower stages of the tide, year round. On top of this is the incredible nightlife; Newquay has a multitude of bars and clubs to explore routinely packed with hundreds of local and visiting beach goers, so if you are after a 24-hour surfing / party scene experience look no further than the surfing Mecca of the UK!
