Oxwich Bay

Oxwich Bay is a huge sweeping crescent of golden sand set in front of low lying sand dunes and just down from Oxwich Castle. The beach is several kilometres long and runs all the way to Southgate in the east, providing an almost limitless range of peaks to explore and surf. There's no chance of not getting a wave to your self here, as there's a multitude of left and right hand beach breaks.

The waves themselves are quite hollow and because of the angle of the beach work best at high tide. As the beach is southeasterly facing it is often one of the last to be producing rideable waves in heavy storm swell conditions. The beach has basic facilities and there is either Oxwich Castle or the bright lights of Swansea to check out after a day at the beach.
