Quality and price generally go hand in hand and as a general rule the hotels are best for short stay beach goers in the mid to high end of the price spectrum. Budget travellers opt for guesthouses or bed and breakfasts whilst for long-term stays most beach goers tend to opt for self-catering accommodation.

Prices can vary with the season, rising significantly during the peak months of July and August, when availability is also likely to reduce. Some of the establishments in more remote locations may also close during November to January to allow for annual refurbishment.

Coastal hotel Costs typically start at around £60 for a double room for one night at a 1 star hotel, which will include a fried breakfast of cereal, toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, baked beans and juice, tea or coffee and often the choice of a more healthy or continental style breakfast. Bedrooms should come with en-suite bathrooms, a small television and facilities for making tea, coffee and other hot drinks. Prices then rise to around £100 per night for a 3 star and over £200 per night for a 5 star.
