A surfing competition in the far north of Scotland is expected to draw 400 people, organisers have said. It will include the Sea Odyssey scheme, which will aim to give local children a better understanding of marine habitats. Dubbed the world's coldest professional surfing contest, it will be held in Caithness for a third year running. A spokesman said: "We like the unbeaten path and to explore new territories for our events and show the world that there's more to surfing than turquoise-blue, warm waters. "Riding perfect barrels in front of big cliffdrops and ancient castles at pretty much the end of the world is a special experience."
