The Flagship Animal store in Newquay, Cornwall now open

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 11 April, 2008 : - - Animal’s retail development continues both in the UK and internationally with the opening of five new stores in the first half of 2008. Current trading performance has seen a 36% sales uplift like for like against 2007 from Animal’s own retail division.

Following openings in Colchester and Ipswich, the latest UK edition is the Flagship store in the UK surf heartland and popular tourist destination of Newquay, Cornwall. The store is the first to have Animal’s new generation store fit incorporating new designs with traditional surf inspired concepts to create a contemporary look that remains true to the brand’s grass roots, history and heritage.

The 3400sq ft store is located in the busy Central Square area and is in partnership with Ann’s Cottage, one of Animal’s regional partners who operate five stores in the South West including the Animal Store Padstow and Ann’s Cottage Stores in Polzeath, Wadebridge and Fraddon.

The store will stock one of the widest selections of Animal product available in the UK including extensive men’s, women’s, boy’s and girl’s clothing ranges as well as footwear, luggage, eyewear and accessories. Animal stores will also be stocking exclusive ranges throughout the year.

The Newquay store will be closely followed by store openings in Gent, Belgium and Tarifa, Spain the kitesurfing capital of Europe.
