Watergate Bay

Newquay's Watergate Bay has 3.5 kilometres of sand that creates the perfect beach playground for surfing stacks of waves on the various peaks along the beach. There is plenty of space along the length of the beach with only the middle peak in summer becoming busy, so you can be sure of catching some waves of your own. It produces quality surfing waves at all stages of the tide and is ideal for intermediate or beginner surfers wanting to hone their skills as many surf schools operate on the beach.

It is a safe beach enhanced by the lifeguards in attendance during the peak summer months and in addition it has the new '15' restaurant behind the beach; perfect for some high quality carbo-loading at the end of a day at the beach.

In addition to the high quality facilities in the village there is Newquay - Cornwall and England's finest beach resort town, less than 5 minutes down the road. Newquay has much more bars and clubs to explore, which are routinely packed with hundreds of local and visiting beach goers. Watergate bay is ideally located to have the best of both worlds; an amazing beach in a great location, fantastic facilities and immediate access to the best nightlife in the South West.
